A New Chapter for This Community
An invitation to a deeper table for anyone rethinking their next season.
There’s something I’ve been slowly working toward, and today feels like the right moment to say it out loud.
Over the past few months — especially since joining Substack in April — this space has quietly shifted into something deeper than I expected.
This space has become more than a travel journal.
Every week, people write to me about reinvention… downsizing… leaving jobs… early retirement… returning to themselves… designing a life that doesn’t require a crisis to change.
And quietly, behind the scenes, I’ve been giving more time and thought to the people who want to go deeper.
So starting this month, I’m adding a small paid layer to this community.
Not a wall.
Not a pressure cooker.
Just a deeper table — for anyone who wants more structure, more clarity, and more behind-the-scenes support as they navigate their next season.
Here’s what that will look like:
a weekly paid post (not two monthly — more spacious and more consistent)
one Life Design Tool each month (the things Nigel and I actually use to run our life by seasons)
early access to my Slow Travel Toolkit, as each piece unfolds
a private chat where I can answer questions with time and care
This isn’t about selling something.
It’s about making space for the conversations that don’t always fit inside the Sunday essays — the quieter questions about energy, identity, belonging, pacing, place, and how to design a life that feels like yours again.
Most of you know this, but it feels important to say:
You never have to pay to be here.
The Sunday posts stay free.
Notes stay open.
Nothing changes for you unless you want it to.
The paid layer is simply an invitation — for anyone who’s in a season of widening their life and wants a steadier companion in the process.
If that’s you, I’d be honored to have you there.

Yay! So happy to see this coming to life over here Kelly! I’m taking notes and as always learning from your presence on here as I move towards a paid option as well!
Good luck! This is such a great idea. -Ari
