Congratulations on your anniversary. Truth be told, I pity those who live without any regret. They've shortchanged themselves. It's a part of the human experience package.
Love this so much! And it's such a needless question, too. What would you living with regret mean to the person asking? Would it affect them? When people asked my husband and I if we'd regret: moving, not having kids, traveling, etc., I've learned to respond with: I can live with regret.
I totally understand, Youtube is intense. But a Substack video post, is perfect. I love that. Brilliant idea. I fallowed you on Instagram because I want to see more of what you are up to. I just imagine your life abroad, is so fascinating to me.
I’m so honored you think so - and I’m thrilled to have caught your interest! YouTube can be a beast, but a Substack video post feels much more my speed.
And thank you for the Instagram follow - though I’m pretty quiet there since that’s where most of our kids hang out. With life in the US feeling a bit upside down, I sometimes keep our “great escape” and travels off that radar. But every now and then, I slip a few glimpses in.
6 months into retirement and not one regret. Of course I have other regrets, but that’s because I’m alive . I’ve never believed anyone that said they had no regrets. If they really do, they lived too safe a life.
I love this! We feel the same way!

Love this so much. You and I are on the same page - regret means you were in the game, not just watching from the sidelines.

Yes, exactly! I’m with you - regrets are about the past, and I’m about the now.
I rather live with no regret than what if 💖 you need to write a book, or a youtube channel.
That’s such a huge compliment, Lily! You’re not the first to suggest it – but YouTube feels a bit too much like work to me.
Maybe I could do a video for each trip after the Substack post? I’m also working on a book, still finding my feet.
I love thinking about possibilities 💛

Food for thought - thank you!
No point living a life of what ifs…

You still feel better with regrets after doing It than Not doing It.
